All are welcome to join the discussion in the environmental sustainability themed session from 15:00 - 16:30hrs at the Bath City Conference 2016, Friday 1st July, Council Chamber, Guildhall Bath, BA1 5AW.  (No need to book, just turn up)

We will be discussing community and council supported activities that play a part in creating a more environmentally sustainable district and how you can get involved as a resident, community group or ward.

There will be a number of short presentations, will plenty of time to raise questions and have a discussion.

  • How and why the Bath and North East Somerset district was awarded the prestigious Sustainable Food Cities award in March this year.
  • The local digital community are making use of Council data to champion the environment - find out about opportunities to work with them.
  • Learn about the role you can play in helping your local become more sustainable by getting involved in the Planning process.
  • The Widcombe Association have produced a detailed report, 'Sustainable Widcombe'. They will share their approach, what they learned in the course of producing their report, and what their next steps will be.
