The Sixth Bath City Conference is being planned for Friday 13th October 2017.

This years City Conference wants to focus on 'Building a stronger Bath'. This  is a free open event that is aimed at people who live, work and travel through Bath. the public do not need to book they are invited to turn up on that day and drop in and take part in the areas that are of interest to them.

We are looking forward to an event that showcases what is happening in Bath around themes such as Housing , Strong Communities and Economic Development.

We have over 30 organisations exhibiting in the Banqueting Hall from 12.30-5pm.  

Council Services taking part include, Bathscape, Waterspace, Waste Services, Air Pollution, Energy at Home and Sugarsmart. There is also an opportunity to meet the CCTV team who will be on hand to demonstrate how their new lone worker app.

Additionally external organisations that will be present include Curo Independent Living, Bath Carers Centre, Sirona Care and Health, Healthwatch B&NES, Developing Health and Independence, Student Community Partnership, The Volunteer Centre, Small Business Focus, Bath Hacked, We care and repair, St Johns Foundation, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, The Charter Trustees of Bath, Voices (Domestic Abuse Advice), Bath City FC

The Affordable Homes Show is taking place in the Brunswick Room from 12.30-6.30pm. This is an opportunity to come along and talk to housing associations, independent mortgage and legal advisors for free confidential advice about your home ownership aspirations.

There will be a number of engagement sessions being run throughout the day which include:

  • Bath Transport & Air Quality (1pm)

  • Make A Move – Wellness in the Workplace (3.15pm)

  • Social Enterprise and Innovation (2.30pm)

  • “The Housing Debate – Unheard Voices” – presenting the views of students and others struggling to afford accommodation in Bath.  (3.45pm)

The day will finish in the Council Chamber with an 'ask the panel' discussion that will take questions from the audience and in advance. This is an opportunity for a your voice to be heard on matters that are important to you and your community. Email your questions to: bathcityconference@bathnes.gov.uk
